Projects

The Newfoundland Discovery Corp. Projects in Quetico Subprovince

  • Quetico Subprovince comprises a sequence of metamorphosed sedimentary rocks.
  • The sedimentary rocks include metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks of the Quetico Group and metasedimentary rocks of the English River Group.
  • Lithium mineralization in the Quetico Subprovince is hosted in spodumene-bearing pegmatites that intrude the metasedimentary rocks of the Quetico and English River Groups.
  • March 22nd, 2023 Newfoundland Discovery enters option agreement to acquire 135 claims totalling 6933 hectares
  • Located in the McKnight Lake Area Township near Terrace Bay, Ontario, the area’s geology is characterized by muscovite-bearing granite, which hosts numerous lithium deposits and pegmatites, as well as a network of faults that provide pathways for granitic melts and evolving pegmatites.
  • Strategically positioned adjacent and on-trend with the Sugaree Project, the Dickison Lithium Property benefits from its proximity to the well-known Georgia Lake Pegmatite field, 25 km to the west which is recognized as the largest concentration of rare element mineralization in the Superior Province.
  • Historical data from the Ontario Geological Survey in 1970 reveals the presence of several white pegmatites containing garnet and tourmaline on the property.
